Class C License and Testing

Small Vehicles

A Class C CDL is for vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of less than 26,001 pounds, or any such vehicle towing a trailer that doesn’t exceed 10,000 pounds in GVWR. This classification applies only to vehicles that are either designed to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver, are used to carry hazardous materials in amounts that require placarding according to Hazardous Materials Regulations, or for transporting select agents or toxins. To obtain a Class C CDL, applicants must complete a small vehicle test, which involves a vehicle inspection, basic skills test, and a road test.

We at Ouachita Truck Driving Academy honor out of state applicants.
